Almighty God, the I AM THAT I AM, is a God of Purpose

LESSON 1: The True God is a God of Purpose.

I had noted in a previous article that there are 10 essential lessons to consider, know and always bear in mind regarding God's Purpose; this is the first of that series.

From the very beginning of time down the ages up until the present time, as recorded in the Holy Scriptures, there has continually and without doubt been an undeniable fact: the Almighty God, the I AM THAT I AM, never does anything without a definite purpose.

The Creator of the heavens and the earth, through whom every being - seen and unseen - has its essence, is a God of Purpose. Now, carefully consider the scripture verses below (all quotations from the King James Version of the Holy Bible):
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16 (KJV)

"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." - 1 John 3:8 (KJV)
Now, note carefully that in the two scripture quotations above, it is crystal clear that God "...gave his only begotten Son..." for a specific PURPOSE and also "...the Son of God was manifested..." for another very specific PURPOSE.

The ANCIENT OF DAYS did not give out His Son just only to die for man, for us. Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Lamb of God Almighty, manifested and was given specifically so "...whosoever believeth in him should not perish."

The very purpose of God here is that Jesus during His life on earth "...might destroy the works of the devil"; and all men and any man, who dares to believe by faith in the saving grace of God in Jesus Christ, may "...have everlasting life."

All of this is by faith, and faith only, through and through, so that none may boast - see Rom 1:17, 3:27.

Is it not obvious to all that God is the All Mighty, the All Knowing and the All Present? That His power is All Pervading? And that He could have had salvation come to us in any way and through any manner He so desired? But He chose that His Only Son be sacrificed and die for this very particular purpose.

The Bible clearly says:
"Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." - Hebrews 2:14-15 (KJV)
Finally, the book of Galatians offers an explanation as to why the Only Begotten willingly gave Himself up for us. Your guess is as good as mine, it was for a very specific purpose:
"Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." - Galatians 1:3-5 (KJV)
Indeed, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, Our God and Heavenly Father, is truly a God of Purpose! Praise be to Him forever and ever. Amen!
